Crafternoon For Teens

Feeling creative? Design your own set of magnets at the DeKalb Public
Library. Join us on Saturday, December 15th at 2:30 p.m. for our first
Crafternoon only for teens! Using small pictures, letters & numbers from
old magazines you will create a dozen small bubble magnets. All
materials provided, sign-up fee is $1.00 - please register at the
Reference Desk.  For more information, please contact Kathy or Jill at

Crime Fiction Book Club

Come discuss some crime!  Our Crime Fiction Book Club will talk about
Maisie Dobbs on Monday, December 17th at 7:00pm, and on Tuesday,
December 18th at 10:00am.  Refreshments will be served at both meetings.
All members of the public are welcome to join us, though it does help if
you've read the book!  Next month's book will be given out at these

Children's Craft

On Wednesday, December 19th there will be a craft time at 10:00am in the
Children's Department.  There will be no story time on this day.  We'll
resume Toddler Time in February.  For more information, please contact

Game Night

Don't forget the last Game Night of the year - Wednesday, December 19th
from 6:30 to 8:30pm.  We'll resume Game Night on Wednesday, January 9th!

 

Anime Alliance - Postponed but not broken!

The Anime Alliance will not meet in December due to technical
difficulties, but we'll meet back up again in January.  Twice, even.
Wednesday, January 16th and Thursday, January 17th at 6:30pm.  The same
anime will be shown on both evenings.  For more information, contact

Visit with Santa!

On Saturday, December 22nd Santa will visit the Children's Department!
>From 10:30am to 11:30am Santa will be available to hear your requests
and pose for pictures.  Parents are welcome to bring their own cameras.

End of Year Closings

The DeKalb Public Library will be closed on the following days this
holiday season:  

Sunday, December 23rd; 

Monday, December 24th; 

Tuesday, December 25th; 

the Children's Department only will be closed all day on Saturday,
December 29th; 

Sunday, December 30th;

Monday, December 31st;

Tuesday, January 1st.

We will be open again on Wednesday, January 2nd from 9:00am to 9:00pm.
